Joseph D. DePalma
Joseph D. DePalma is a Litigation Associate who has extensive experience representing clients in civil proceedings. Joe's practice includes trial-level as well as appellate representation in New York State and Federal Courts, in a wide range of areas, including contract and business disputes, professional liability, failed real estate transactions, medical malpractice, will contests, matrimonial actions and actions brought under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
While Joe has represented entities such as the New York City Department of Education and the largest teaching hospitals in New York City, and clients ranging from international business executives to the parents of disabled children, he believes that all legal services should be client-centric, and takes pride in providing counsel to all of his clients heavily tailored to their individual needs and objectives.
Originally a Pennsylvania native, Joe moved to New York City to attend New York University, and then Columbia Law School. In the early part of his career, Joe proudly represented the City of New York in a prestigious Post-Graduate Fellowship with the New York City Law Department. While considering himself an adopted New Yorker, Joe is also an avid traveler who is always looking for recommendations, especially for must-have culinary experiences and can't miss scuba diving destinations.
